Oops...almost forgot about this rendition, which I did just before my nap. I am convinced that the tree only laughs, as I make things more complicated.

Well for some fun today, I wanted to play with color, adding some to my current work in progress. So I layered in "Leaves of Hope", which I did about 15 years ago...and voila.

I almost forgot that this piece began as a playful sketch of the tree outside my window, about 15 feet away from my living room couch, where I often sketch these days.

I'm enjoying taking this work in progress somewhere it's never been before.

I did this sketch last night and this is as far as I'll take it on paper...the rest will be done on screen, starting now,

It's always an adventure...had no idea this first sketch would take me onto the path of the second image, which is a current work in progress.

I'm enjoying my playtime now...this time the possibilities are mindboggling!

@jerrysaltz I did such an exercise a few years ago, drawing the individual shapes first, with no idea what would come of it, though I suppose I "cheated", so feel free to dock me a few marks.

I can't believe today is the 14th!

Yesterday I had a sense of relief all day because it wasn't Friday the 13th. Also talked to my sister about her birthday on Tuesday...now I get her confusion...it's actually on Monday! lol

So is today Pi day?
