My love in gaming is Action Adventure. Your Zeldas and your Metroids. Jump doesn't really strike me as a Metroidvania character, with a stack of powerups to acquire.
I think I'm going to try scratching together a proper Jump the Shark platformer in my free time.
Yeah, platformers are overdone. And the Sonic Fan Games community will be furnishing nearly insurmountable competition. But I'm gonna want to do this until I actually try it, so...
