Oh nice, it’s #PortfolioDay!
I’m Macxi, I’m a writer and artist who specializes in comic and sequential art and I dabble in different types of illustrative work for my commissions too. Pretty much always looking for work! I love big projects, but small ones are great too.
@BabArt101Dal Sure! I’ve done bigger and smaller YCHs in the past. The first is an example of the bigger YCHs I’ve done that are more composition-based vs. the smaller ones that are a bit cheaper, simpler & smaller.
All of my YCHs have been themed! Like camping themed, holiday, pride kites!
I joke around a bit now that the gog is a bit of Romy, Boone and Echo all in one. Dog and goat, but also a hybrid (Echo is a hybrid too lest we forget!). Echo was also a character I found hard to define for a while and that’s partly why hybrid works for her (the way it does me).
I always resonated a lot with dogs because they’re… well, they’re people pleasers, like me. 🥲 Always trying to do their best, have a bit of a natural optimism despite everything.
The goat side is my wild side haha. The playful chaos. All of my eccentric urges.
A bit like… 🤔
The reason I really like the gog is that they feel like the same brand of uniqueness as me. In design, they are actually rather simple (I present very simply IRL). But they are also… weird, hard to define, like my personality. Colorful/playful, like the way I see the world.
What’s more is that I kept design aspects from earlier ‘sonas. My older fursona was a basset hound and I kept some of that in the gog, namely in the way I’ve done the markings (tail looks p much the same!) and shape/size of the ears. Eyepatch was taken from my pokesona.
Gog actually feels a lot newer than they are. Started off as a thought experiment of “goat ‘sona maybe???” and I realized I really resonated with a goat/dog hybrid.
Over time I established the markings, colors and style. Horns got larger, ears more perky (instead of lopped). https://t.co/j999ZAOkzf
Consider commissioning! You know you want to. You really, really want to. Don't you? I can see it in your eyes. You're thinking. Considering it.
If you are, feel free to DM or avoid an initial awkward exchange with this form and I'll follow up with ya!: https://t.co/DImbBQlz6U
