im gonna be busy when it hits midnight on the west coast but I assumed since the west coast gets to the new year after everybody else does that I'd just post this now! have a happy 2020! its the roaring twenties, baybeeeee!
@TheMandii Hi Mandii! Thank you for the thread! Im Haley! Ive been trying to get my digital art skills up in 2019! Other than learning more about digital art, I love doing portraits! These are some of my favorites I did this year which are fantasy/star wars-y apparently lol ✨
a different style for tonight! I wanted to draw my old pirate from pirates online, so heres jade badskull. and yes i named the pirate when I was like nine so yes big oof lol
And finally the last few pieces of the year! I am really happy with these last few pieces. From gesture, to color, to detailing! Im happy with all of them and am excited to keep working on my skills in 2020! ✨
And then November and December basically was me trying to get compositions more focused, color combos to work more together and for gestures to be stronger. These are all things I struggle with. I also began to try to improve on how I draw faces and eyes especially!
By July I think I got adobe through school and started using photoshop again. The “GT comic” was the first piece I really felt like I was improving at digital art. I began sketching digitally and trying to learn different ways to enhance my works & different art styles in general
Then summer came around. I finished my first semester of being an art major woo. I finally tried out toned paper which was suggested in my life drawing class. I love love loved making portraits during this time. I really started to try to get better at color combos then
