It stars Marie Antoinette & Oscar Francois de Jarjayes, Captain of the Royal Guards who was raised as a son to continue the family's legacy. However, Oscar becomes conflicted between maintaining her loyalty to Antoinette & addressing the growing poverty among the common people.
Since a lot of people commenting either dont know what shoujo or josei is, or have never read one, I wanted to make a thread of some of my favorite shoujosei series. (a-Kira: 4/5 stars)
This one was an intriguing take on Death Note if it had been set closer to present day with the rise of surveillance. a-Kira was, of course, much trickier & took more care with his plans than c-Kira, which added to my score for this one. +

Getting Closer to You, Vol 1 by Ruri Kamino: 3.5/5 stars
#GettingClosertoYouVolume1 #NetGalley
The artwork is what really bumped up the rating for me since I'm a sucker for some sparkly, soft & pretty shoujo art. The cutesy eyes, delicate lines for hair, & drama-esque lighting +
