alright. this is from last year. something i don't think i'll finish cuz i've been putting it off so much. a few of you have seen my progress thread on it. it's not indicative of my skill as of now, but i want to post this. i've done what i could.

hmm.
not a fan of how the head is a bit... square. this is going to take five more pencil layers to fix.

two hours, unfortunately a few distractions, and one serval

i was held at gunpoint and threatened to color this in

and just like that, less saturation, more accurate to the reference's colors

rough draft colors, a general idea on how i want to approach the colors. a little fun, playing around with ideas, before i tackle the last rough, which may or may not be serious linework.

eh.
it's a step in the right direction of trying to get in the habit again. working with the time i do have. i'll try again tomorrow.

i nearly forgot to post this. i timed myself on how quick i can draw a serval with no references last night. 12 minutes. it's by no means a world record, but a personal one.
