Gamera vs. Guiron and Gamera vs. Jiger are fairly similar films in tone and content, but most fans (myself included) rank the latter far lower. I’m not fully sure why. It’s a tighter movie, as far as characters and location. Stakes and goals are focused. But other than that…?

I *love* Resident Evil’s interpretation of werewolves. Not talking about the franchise-specific lore, but the behavior and visuals are just so good. Deliberate throwbacks to wolfmen of old, while still feeling so unique and fresh. Some of them even ride horses! Very cool.
