Dragon Ball Super has a character with red eyes and his power is boosted by them.
Seems rather familiar.
I'd say she succeeded when her genderbent version got Goku's original English VA voicing him.
@CharonLRdraws The pitch story is basically an infamous swordsman searches for his lost body.
There's quite a cast of characters, and sold well enough that Kodansha finished the series when TokyoPop lost the license.
I'll always find it funny that Rumiko Takahashi worked on the first Guyver anime adaptation, and the genderbent character in it became a canon character in the manga.
All I have to say is that my way of promoting my work is more "Hey I make cool thing, you like cool thing? You should buy it!" than "Hey I don't like this person, you don't like this person? Buy my book to upset said person!"

@GGMcAllen1138 @RoslynnSommers The series is called Spiritus, and it's currently in the development stage, but I think it'll be out sometime next year with some prose short stories set to release sometime before the end of 2021.
Aside from being a tomboy, there's a reason why Claire has short hair.
