Mario Party Superstars-style emotes for some of your favorite Battle Network characters!
Since #MMSFDX is trending again, here's what I did. I worked on the art for the Star Piece, a new collectable item.
First is an unused design. Then it's some unused backgrounds and colors. It first looked a lot like the Paper Mario Star Piece before it got the silvery color.
@megamantad Chip art, too. But it's so low-res, it doesn't even upscale really well.
Here are the random mugshots I've made over the last (wow) 3 years or so. 4x resolution, standalone images.
Featuring:
Dr. Seuss' The Grinch, from the 2018 movie
Detective Pikachu, from the 2019 movie
Captain Marvel from the 2019 movie
Sonic the Hedgehog, from the 2020 movie
It's June. You know what that means? LaserMan Pride Month of course!
What's more interesting is since MegaMan Star Force's battle sprite in OSS is based on BN6 Mega's, the unused hurt frame was used as a base to create the more fluid hurt animations seen in BN1.
On the right is my attempt to recreate the frame using the trailer as reference.
@MidniteW The scans on https://t.co/Mr3KNOZ8X6 is where it's at. Nice, consistent quality that needs just a bit of cleanup work.
But yeah, proper digital releases of Alpha, Duo, and Nebula Gray art (everything on that page) would be great.
I made quite a few assets for this concept. I created button icons for the Nintendo Switch controller and the element icons for all the elements in the Battle Network series.
