My Hero Academia Season 4, finished March 27
Unreal that after 3 seasons of failing to commit to its interesting ideas, MHA finally delivered mostly consistent quality. Unfunny jokes and one-note characters are put on the back-burner for very cool themes and conflicts. 7.5/10.
Hear me out this is actually so effective in its simplicity. At first glance you think: this guy looks pretty ordinary. But then you see it. Wood Carbuncle. That's how you know you're about to deal with someone completely fucking insane hiding beneath a false layer of normalcy https://t.co/PHM8m0Htlf
Clair Umineko brain takeover would not be complete without me stealing her gender so hi guys I'm Claire
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (replay), finished Feb 7
Despite the actively detrimental structure, awful humor, painful gameplay, and other assorted flaws, this game genuinely has such well-written characters and storytelling that it deserves an 8/10 and I hate it.
8. Please play Remember11 please play it you'll love it so much it's so good it's like top 4 things ever made
1. Yup it's AI: The Somnium Files. This game has taken over my brain for the past two years of my life and I couldn't be happier about it, it's definitely had the most lasting impact on me out of any game I've played. The sequel still feels almost too good to be true
Remember11: The Age of Infinity, finished Jan 9
A strong start to the year. Remember11 has a tight cast of memorable characters, powerful themes, and an absurd amount of depth and ambition for its relatively short runtime. Impossible to describe with a 280 character limit. 10/10.
