THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is a messy and broken movie that's also my favorite of the trilogy. Nolan's at his most brazen and maximalist; it's a moody psychodrama, disaster movie actioner and full-tilt historical epic all at once, with a truly colossal scale to match. I love it.
