Warm up sketch before I get back to NDA stuff. Coming to grips with how much faster my new machine is, and how much my outdated hardware was hobbling me.
Hopefully I can share some more work soon.
Joe Johnston is probably the biggest single reason I'm a concept artist. There's an awful lot of the ESB Sketchbook in my older work. His work had a rendering style and eye for detail I loved. Happy Birthday and good health! https://t.co/jNeffXMPKh
My biggest takeaway from the work of Duchamp is that the world is full of interesting things. If you change their context or juxtaposition, you can kitbash and make something new. Witness Gerry Anderson or our own @spacegooose.
@mikeBithell I do a lot of vehicle design work, but it might be a little more grounded and gritty than what you're after with this.
Sketch in Painter. Trying to get back in the swing of things and switching some stuff around.
@TylerHarris_216 Thank you. It was something I worked at off and on for a few years so time is hard to estimate. Pencils would take about a day but I didn't finish them all at once so that's a guess. I used to work pretty slow.
Way back when, I was working on a setting that was inspired by art deco (or more properly, streamline moderne).
Managed to make a little progress on a personal piece at lunch after I got this big deliverable sent off last night. Engine details on the space fighter.
The overall idea is kind of retro, but I want to make the details more muscular and somewhat overstated.
