Comics Worldwide: Germany (pt.1). Anke Feuchtenberger is a German artist and cartoonist. She studied at the Kunsthochschule (art school) Berlin. Since 1997, she has held a professorship for drawing at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.

Comics Worldwide: Gabon. 'Koulou chez les Bantu', is a collection of comics about the African tribe of the Bantu people, featuring Gabonean comics artists Sophie Endamne, Ly-Bek, Map Land, Emmany Makonga and Yeno Patinon.

Comics Worldwide: France (pt. 20). Manu Larcenet is a French cartoonist. With bibliography spanning ~60 albums and six nominations/awards under his belt, he is one of most important comics authors working today. His work includes Ordinary Victories, Blast, and The Brodeck Report.

We all have them, those comics that people treat like masterpiece and we just can't for the life of us figure out why. Here's the four of mine, four of the canon I'll admit I don't appreciate at all. Which are yours? Get it off your chest, you know you want to :)

Comics Worldwide: France (pt. 16). Enki Bilal is a comic book author, screenwriter and film director of Bosnian origin. Bilal was a frequent guest in Heavy Metal Magazine where many famous Bilal comics made their English debut. He's a winner/nominee of 9 prestigious awards.

@AmorBavian I also forgot to mention Beautiful Darkness by Kerascoet and Vehlmann. Try that one, it's something completely different, yet absoutely fantastic. I mean:

Comics Worldwide: France (pt. 12). Boulet is a comic book creator and cartoonist who was among the first French cartoonists to become famous by publishing a comics blog Bouletcorp https://t.co/PYgQmZRIOP He also did work on the Dungeon series and illustrated Erik the Viking book.

Comics Worldwide: France (pt. 10). Nicolas de Crécy is a French artist, cartoonist, and comic book writer. He was a co-author of Léon la Came that won the Angoulême International Comics Festival Prize for Best Album in 1998. Other noted works: Salvatore and Celestial Bibendum.

Comics Worldwide: France (pt. 7). Valerian and Laureline is a science fiction comic series created by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mézières. It focuses on the adventures of a couple of spatiotemporal agents in the 28th century as they travel through space and time.

Comics Worldwide: France (pt. 5). Joann Sfar is a French comics artist, comic book creator, novelist, and film director. Winner/nominee of 18 prestigious awards, he's best known for his graphic novels The Rabbi's Cat and Little Vampire, and for his work on the Dungeon series.
