Comics Worldwide: France (pt. 4). Lewis Trondheim is a French cartoonist, winner or nominee of over 20 prestigious awards and one of the founders of the independent publisher L'Association. He's best known as the author of 30-volume series Dungeon, co-written with Joann Sfar.
Comics Worldwide: France (pt. 1). Jean Giraud was a French artist, cartoonist and writer who garnered worldwide acclaim under the pseudonym Moebius, as well as Gir, used for the Blueberry series. He is considered to be the most influential bandes dessinées artist after Hergé.
Comics Worldwide: Finland (pt. 3). Lauri and Jaakko Ahonen's book 'Pikku Närhi' is a story about a small jaybird living with his manipulative and bedridden mother in a large house, avoiding all outside dangers. Dark Horse Comics released the book as 'Jaybird' in the USA.
Comics Worldwide: Finland. Minna Sundberg is a Finnish illustrator and cartoonist known for webcomics A Redtail's Dream and Stand Still, Stay Silent for which she won 2015 Reuben Award by the National Cartoonists Society in the category of 'Online Comics – Long Form'.
Comics Worldwide: Egypt. JF Andeel is a Cairo-based cartoonist and graphic designer. Working as a cartoonist since 2005, he is one of the founding contributors of the quarterly comics magazine for adults Tok Tok, of which the first issue appeared in January 2011.
Comics Worldwide: Dominica; Dominican Republic. I know it's not the same country, but I did manage to dig out a few superhero characters originating from these two countries, so it almost looked like a theme to combine them. These are Windeagle, Flashback, Stigmata, Fade, Shades.
Comics Worldwide: Denmark. Valhalla is a Danish comics series, offering a comedic view of the gods of Norse mythology. It was illustrated by an award-winning Danish cartoonist Peter Madsen and written by several writers. It consists of 15 volumes, published between 1979 and 2009.
