@q10lovely Turns out it was Darker Than Black. I actually said out loud "it's not Darker Than Black is it?" when I started randomly talking about it.

Then I didn't see their faces when I looked it up on BTVA. But searching "washed up anime detective" gave me his face immediately. lol.
