So my understanding of this show is as follows:

Rather than being an actual remake or a reimagining (like Resident Evil 1-3 or FF7), you get something that looks the way your childhood self pretends it looked when it launched. The muscle memory exists, and it looks how you always believed it did. Like Shadow of the Colossus.
