Yesterday I learned that only 3% of bird species have penises (thanks @Radiolab)
Ducks, geese, swans, and large flightless birds like ostriches & emus have penises, while species such as owls, eagles and flamingos have completely lost their penises over time!

Lilian Medland devoted her time to painting the birds of Britain, and later Australia and yet has not received the recognition she deserves - she is mentioned on the @NCB_ANU but only under her husband’s entry. Not good enough!
