Marley Dias was just 10 years old when she she launched a campaign called #1000BlackGirlBooks to collect 1,000 books with black female protagonists to donate for black girls at other schools.

On #childrensmentalhealthweek2021 & during this difficult time of lockdown, I can’t think of a better way to deal with children’s anxiety than books and stories.

I’m happy to start the year by sharing this illustration 😍 I did it for a wonderful Kids’ play called Jabala And The Jinn by @theasifkhan_ .

My favourite part is when Asif showed the drawing to his little one, he answered ‘I want to read this book!’.
