Here's a bit of process from the scene I posted earlier. This is watercolor on Crescent hot press illustration board.

Came across some great shadows in the forest!

Here's the final result including my "simple statement" warmup.

Iguana in watercolor! Did a sketch at the LA Zoo (while hiding from all the wonderfully inquisitive children) and took a pic, then did this version back in the studio on Arches watercolor paper. Good times.
