these might resemble familiar characters but they were intended to be unrelated and original

@Alt555Scoob i love them personally i think theyre really cute ha 😄 besides them transforming like this and pulling the funny face in the intro to the original game i actually wish they played more with the fact that theyre technically a nightmare monster like in these concept drawings

might try drawing with a trackpad without line correction and minimal erasing more because i like how weird the contours in the final product look

i really liked this book as a kid because the illustrations, bright contrasted colors against black/stark yellow, and imagery of an old woman eating animals until she died, made it a little aesthetically harsher (for lack of a better term) than most kids books

when you google "popular culture/parody in contemporary art" or other variations of that phrase you get parodies of iconic art itself like warhol soup cans when what i'm looking for is stuff like this (paintings by trey abdella and yue minjun)

i drew this more than a year ago and totally forgot about it until i was going through my files just now

this goomba? you better believe this is nematodecore. moreso the hat than the goomba actually, but both are integral to eachother
