11. When my dog Ivan passed in 2017 - this was the first version of his portrait that I was working on (left). It didn't fulfill the emotion I was trying to achieve so I scrapped it and started over - resulting on the image (right) that I eventually shared.

Today is the 5th anniversary of my beautiful Samantha's passing. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. 🤍
I put her portrait right in the entryway of our house, so that I can always see her.

This year was both devastating and incredibly hopeful, and my work reflected that for better or worse.
