Finally wrapping up this Smaugust challenge! Nine more dragon designs incoming!

Fairy Wrens are some of the smaller dragons but hard to miss due to their splendid coloration and active behavior. They form small groups which defend their territory for a while and then move on, usually when the area is no longer tidy and aesthetically pleasing to them.

Or what I hope/think It could look like! My take is based on shisa/foo/haetae dog statues. I saw some statues with almost horn-like structures and it looked so cool I incorporated them into my design. 🔥

⚡️ Thunder Kestrel ⚡️
Saw a common kestrel the other day. I was on a run and got surprised by a thunderstorm. Suddenly a bird flew just above me, close enough for me to recognize it as a kestrel, looking straight down at me. I wanted to capture that moment in this painting!

August means Smaugust! Here are some of my bird inspired dragons from last year. I'm currently creating a few more designs like this and posting them soon! 🐲

Aah I got a Daily Deviation on my Shiny Ho-Oh painting!! This was such a lovely surprise to start my week with. It's one of my personal favourites from 2021 so I'm super happy about the award! ✨

Couldn't sleep so I painted the Sacred Sakura from Genshin Impact's new update Inazuma! I have been having so much fun enjoying the scenery and exploration. This tree just blew my mind the first time I walked up to it and I knew I had to paint it! 🌸

Commission of a tortle character called Rayne Terbis! Tortles are such a cool DnD race and Rayne in particular had a great vibe to him. 🌿
