@Melody_Muse Tolkien believed in the aesthetics of words. I wholeheartedly endorse this theory. Although Taur-nu-Fuin ("Forest under Nightshade") may be a place of dread, the name itself sounds very beautiful to me.

In 'The Hobbit', Thranduil and the Elves of the Woodland Realm hunted deer, not rode them. Elk mounts are an invention of Peter Jackson, not J.R.R. Tolkien.
