totally forgot my old rendering technique when i began this rough pass though i started remembering towards the end
Unfortunately, I'd need to manually disable the key filter during other effects with gray colors.
Possible work around is I could write to a pixel on the screen when the color-key should be enabled, and then add a check to the OBS color-key shader to only run it when necessary
This year was kind of an off year for me, even with all my shader experiments.
I did manage to release 2 albums, 2 cool contract music videos, 1 game shader asset, & 1 funny TF animation, but that's about it.
Looking forward to perhaps making more games & new things next year!
totally lost my groove with my old usual rendering method so this time i'm just laying down some flats before I start going over with a soft/blendy paint brush
no idea if this one will pan out but i suppose it couldn't hurt to share every couple hours i throw into it.
or uh... huh. I guess on top of not supporting CustomRenderTexture rendering in realtime, VSeeFace might also not support camera culling masks.
Not surprised or shocked, these are things most VTubers would never even dare to use, but still, just think of the possibilities...
it's... uniform now, though i guess that's intended. don't have any UVs for this to follow that would make sense.
OK GOT SOME SHARP SHADOWS
Still gotta add custom shadow color since harsh shadows aren't my vibe today.
For anyone who wants to add these changes to the shader, here are the lines for the no-outline variant of the shader. Just round these values.
i would like to just relax and use their shader instead of writing even more after the stuff I finished this morning, but come on, that ain't toon enough
give me shadows so sharp the aliasing cuts my eyes, or go home
