Pistachio Maplewood
First appearance: Magical Vacation (GBA)
A 12-year-old boy who is studying magic at Will-o'-Wisp Academy, but his grades are poor and he's at risk of being held back. In the sequel he is mentioned to have eventually become a professor at the school, however.

First appearance: Trade & Battle: Card Hero (GBC)
A monster that can jump and attack distant foes by stretching its spring-like body. Was completely redesigned for the DS sequel.
Dr. Diggins
First appearance: Fossil Fighters (DS)
The scatterbrained director and head researcher for the Fossil Center. He shows you the ropes when you first arrive at Vivosaur Island, and gives you your first fossil.
Omminus
First appearance: FlingSmash (Wii)
The game's main antagonist and final boss. One day he suddenly appears on Suthon Island with his underlings, seeking to drain the power from the Great Palm Tree and take over the world.
Lucy Fleetfoot
First appearance: Pokémon Trozei! (DS)
An agent of the Secret Operation League. She uses a device called the Trozei Beamer to rescue Pokémon stolen by the Phobos Battalion.
Alice
First appearance: Balloon Kid (GB)
A girl from the little town of Pencilvania who loved to play with balloons together with her younger brother. One day, her brother was carried away into the sky by his balloons, and Alice had to go on a journey to save him.
Pupuri
First appearance: Nintendo Puzzle Collection - Panel de Pon (GCN)
Furil's animal companion who is always by her side. Also appears in the GBA compilation Dr. Mario & Puzzle League, making Pupuri one of the only Panel de Pon characters to ever be kept in a western release.
Parry the Parallel Bird
First appearance: Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! (SNES)
One of Dixie and Kiddy's animal friends. Parry flies overhead, helping the Kongs collect out-of-reach items, but must be carefully guided as he is easily defeated by most enemies.
Styla
First appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes (3DS)
The princess of Hytopia. The Drablands witch despised her fashion sense and cursed her to wear full-body tights. Humiliated, she isolates herself, but sometimes sneaks out into town causing rumors about a ghost.
Amelia
First appearance: Pokémon Shuffle (3DS/Mobile)
A reporter who covers your progress and helps you out at the start of your journey. She'll also give you recommendations for which Pokémon to get.
