Tomoe
First appearance: Line Attack Heroes (WiiWare)
Princess Tomoe is the first ally you meet on your adventure, and she accompanies you throughout the story. In some footage of the cancelled English version, her name was localized as Tomi.

Konk
First appearance: Densetsu no Starfy (GBA)
Konk considers himself Starfy's rival, and is fought in every game in the series. Usually Starfy faces him as the first boss, but in The Legendary Starfy, Starly fights him as a bonus boss instead.

Mandola
First appearance: Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru (GB)
A legendary witch who lives with her pet vulture Polnareff on the summit of Mt. Bavarois. She gives the prince of Sablé the power to transform into a frog and a snake, but what are her true motives...?

Picross 3D Mascot
First appearance: Picross 3D (DS)
This... thing serves as the game's host, usually hanging out on the top screen. It guides you through the tutorial, gives trivia about puzzles you've solved, and stars in a series of unlockable animations.

Celia
First appearance: Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido (Switch/3DS)
An assassin sent by the Empire to stop Musashi. She has no taste for sushi, treating it only as a weapon, but eventually changes sides hoping she can learn to love sushi as much as Musashi does.

Pokkle
First appearance: Giftpia (GCN)
A boy living on Nanashi Island. After oversleeping and missing his coming-of-age ceremony, he is arrested for treason and forced to pay a huge fine so the ceremony can be held again... and without the ceremony, he'll never become an adult.

Pistachio Maplewood
First appearance: Magical Vacation (GBA)
A 12-year-old boy who is studying magic at Will-o'-Wisp Academy, but his grades are poor and he's at risk of being held back. In the sequel he is mentioned to have eventually become a professor at the school, however.

Beyond
First appearance: Trade & Battle: Card Hero (GBC)
A monster that can jump and attack distant foes by stretching its spring-like body. Was completely redesigned for the DS sequel.

Dr. Diggins
First appearance: Fossil Fighters (DS)
The scatterbrained director and head researcher for the Fossil Center. He shows you the ropes when you first arrive at Vivosaur Island, and gives you your first fossil.

Omminus
First appearance: FlingSmash (Wii)
The game's main antagonist and final boss. One day he suddenly appears on Suthon Island with his underlings, seeking to drain the power from the Great Palm Tree and take over the world.
