Coming to OAF via Mason Fine Art is NIAD artist, Sylvia Fragoso. Born with Downs Syndrome and a great ability to use color to create sophisticated compositions, her work depicts visions of churches and angels as well as her love for her family.

Born in 1950, Will Doleman bleaches colored t-shirts to "kill cancer" and then finds the glyphs he likens to Native American petroglyphs. Joining us at OAF NYC via Norman Brosterman will be pieces by Dolemanu such as this 2013 piece 'Hippygliph.'

SHRINE (@shrine_nyc) is presenting a selection of American art brut at the OAF, including this assemblage by Hawkins Bolden (1914–2005), who was a blind African American maker based in Memphis, TN. Bolden fashioned scarecrows out of found objects to protect his vegetable garden.

The Reverend Howard Finster, famous for his “Paradise Garden,” entered into the contemporary art world through collaborating with musicians, such as @remhq. He painted the album cover for their 1984 album “Reckoning.”

#MortonBartlett was a self-taught artist who sculpted and photographed sculptures of kids. Bartlett would photograph themin staged scenarios and in clothes he had handmade. Bartlett amassed albums of his photography, perhaps akin to a family photo album, a work of #artbrut.
