#FOCUSONZEMANKOVA
Bio. Part 3
Over time, Anna Zemánková’s work progressed from large works on paper to much smaller, more textured pieces made with crimped paper. Zemánková also created work with textile and embroidered furniture elements, much of which is lost.
After Anna Zemánková’s son, an artist, provided her with art supplies, Zemánková found a renewed sense of purpose in her artmaking. She would work in a trance state from 4-7 am. Of her imagery, Zemánková has said: "I am growing flowers that are not grown anywhere else.”
What makes Susan Te Kehurangi King’s drawings among the best? One might say look at the details. Up now at The Doors of Perception!
Coming up at The Doors of Perception, curated by Javier Téllez for OAF / @FriezeArtFair...
