one effect i really like here that you get as you're going through it is seeing the whole history of the church kind of laid out through these figures. one minute its 300 AD, then its medieval times, then its someone almost modern, then an evangelist, back to 1700 AD, etc.:

(flipped so you can see) - i also didnt use figures, it just made the whole thing look a lot less clean, so its all symbols and emblems. and then, none of them repeat. so if two saints have lilies as their attributes, theyre different images.

in the time after pentecost and the time after epiphany, i built in these trefoil (three fold on top) (trinity) windows. in here, i tried to put doctors of the church, evangelists, people like that. let's look at some of these:

you can see they're lit like relief sculpture: there's a drop shadow, and slight highlights and shading. they're lit from the top, like light is coming in from windows above you:

after getting the blessing of his bishop, we mapped it out as:

on the left, you can see st. herman of alaska, over st. john of shanghai and san francisco, over seraphim rose (the russian side).

on the right: mt athos, over st. joseph the hesychast, over elder ephraim of arizona

so, my plan here, which i think really worked, is, as ur reading it, it's like you're going down further and further, off into the darkness, and it just goes down... down.. down... getting darker, until the harrowing of hell - which obviously fits thematically, + just feels cool:

okay, heres what i wanted to get to because i was really pleased with how this worked out. when we get to passiontide and holy week - it's dark, then it builds up to: BAM - easter. but, if you to the right, down the vine, this section extends + folds out down to the bottom corner

further inside the wheel of lent, i got to put some images i really like - here, the image for the annunciation (that comes later), next to this rosary image. i also really like how the different styles fit:

(idk if i should shout out the person that helped me with that and the latin or if they'd rather i not do that. i guess ill ask them or they can tell me. they were a huge help).
