lets start with lent. thematically this was the most straightforward, to me, at least from my perspective. dark, everything lent is about, building up to easter. if you look at the windows under the 1st, 2nd, 3rd sundays, i even wanted those to capture the feeling of lent:

alright lets get into it. first up, the first obstacle I hit was putting the movable feasts (holy days without a fixed date [i.e. third sunday after X]) on the same wheel as fixed feast days (ones that always happen on a specific date).

so, i really used two interlocking wheels:

this the largest and most in depth thing i've ever made easily. i'll post the details but for now lets just look around.

the full print is two by three feet.

some personal favorite details here:

- the baptismal font (feast of the baptism of the lord)
- the window with these three feast days fit in / the window architecture in general
- the way the saint emblem reliefs look in white (these fill the wheel behind the fixed feasts)

i got one more since i kept you guys waiting. if we got the french style in you know we had to take it to reims (notre dame). ur probably familiar with this one. the bell tower has some epic trims though, so i used one (third pic).

check out the last pic btw (world war i)

obviously it had to have a calligraphic feel. i also wanted it to have a slightly latin / medieval flavor without trying too hard. the other variable was that it had work both as display type (big banner names) + readable blocks of text.

i really like the flavor it has in lines:

want a weird piece of crossover info

ever seen this comic in the newspaper. its called pickles

the guy who makes it is LDS (mormon). the first comics here are quoting LDS leaders. theres a temple in the painting in the 3rd one. last one: hes reading a church mag called 'ensign'

idk who needs this information but theres pelagius, the guy who gave his name to 'pelagianism', and a st. pelagius, and people often use the same image for both:
