I had a great time working on promo art like this- exploring the different themes really helped me grow so much as an artist! #catandmothfilm #animationart #visdevart
I didn't really have a twitter when I was making these, but here are some promotional paintings I made throughout 2018-2019 for @catandmoth!
Ey, it’s #portfolioday! I’m a visual development artist for animation, with experience doing background painting as well. I’m currently available for freelance, or in-house opportunities if they’re in LA!

@robbodev Hi Robert, thank you for opening this up! Here are some examples of my work that I feel fit what you’re looking for, and more are visible on my site https://t.co/EG3rxPS7mR! Hope to hear back from you!
Paintings from this weekend! Practicing with laying on thick paint to get more vibrant colors, the annoying thing is how tough it can be to retain shape design as your canvas turns into a slip and slide from all the paint! #oilpainting #pleinairpainting #californiaimpressionism
@KidlitKat Hi Katherine, thanks for sharing this opportunity! I’m a Colombian- American artist with experience both illustrating and visually designing for various projects. More of my work can be seen here: https://t.co/EG3rxPS7mR. My emails pjrivr@gmail.com as well!
2nd part of that process involved scale- these are the size of my hand. This gets the canvas covered faster, and gives a good overview of initial shapes and colors. I also used only a mid sized flat bristle and forced myself to get as many marks as I could from one brush. 2/3
Painting is hard. Oil painting doubly so. Trying a whole new process lately has been amazing, and I feel like I’m finally doing what I want in oils. First part of that has been time- oils are easy to overwork so each of these had a strict 30 minute limit. 1/3
@SaraAlfageeh Hi, I’m Pablo! I’m a Colombian-American artist. I have a passion for lighting and composition, but after struggling with it for years, I’ve been finally understanding perspective lately and feeling proud of that fact! 💼 https://t.co/EG3rxPS7mR 📧pjrivr@gmail.com
Finally, his series of images on the asteroid impact that ended the Cretaceous are haunting & give you a scope of the utter destruction it brought to our planet. His site’s https://t.co/Tu3UQeQcqb, go check out his incredible body of work!
