These pieces were done with my new locally sourced and made black walnut ink and a smattering of gouache, pen, & other inks. The snake skeleton has no title, but the lionesses are "The Younger Sister" and "The Older Sister". A carved stick & a goose feather were the primary pens.
A luna moth done in my neo-stone-age tribal aesthetic. It was originally designed for a tapestry but I quit working on it when I hit a mental wall.
Here is a proper scan of "Leo Kifo". The art is actually quite small at only 3.5x5.5 inches. Mixed media pen, gouache, watercolor, and ink.
I think after a mountain of work and all this time I am FINALLY done with this piece.
"Where the Sun God Sleeps" - A whopping 43x36 inch 350DPI canvas.
These were my biggest, most time intensive art pieces of 2018. I hope as summer shows its face that I can get at least a few acrylic paintings done.
I wasn't really trying to accomplish anything with these tribal tigers, but these came out very nice regardless.
@SatansTailHole I'm pretty sure I feel like the proudest pattern parent right now! XD This is so awesome I hope you're proud too!
For those interested I DID paint the Irish Elk in full. They're extremely tall and upright compared with a lot of other deer species but those long super model legs got covered up by the grass.
This will probably be my last piece of finished art for 2018; a tribal pair of Megaloceros deer (AKA Giant Deer, Irish Elk, etc). The detail shots are the actual working size since Twitter likes to eat art these days. I made the grass brushes but the deer are 100% by hand.
