A sleepy P. palaeosinensis hanging out in a tree. (Blatant artistic liberties taken). This was something I did in late 2017 that I still really like.
If you're interested in watching art ideas develop on the fly you might be interested in watching my personal account @Palaeosinensis . I keep @PaleoPanthera pretty strictly art-or-business-only but sometimes that means missing out on process. Like these lost files!
Here's "Tiger's Bronze" and "Lion's Gold" together along with some of the planning work that went into both.
I have updated all my remaining sticker stock to https://t.co/qn7dF9qjCx . Several designs have sold out or are close to it; better get them while you can!
I still really like this series; I might pick it back up again and go in color themes.
Tribal painted dog/African wild dog (Lycaon pictus). Sorry for being late!
This was both a frustrating and rewarding paleo reconstruction to do. Coat is a little fantastical, but this was more of an exercise than a dead serious illustration. Panthera palaeosinensis is a basal member of the Panthera genus.
Prints of my tribal neon big cats are available at https://t.co/yLe6YDudyX!
My dinosaur-headed dragon Niobium. Second zoomed in image is the actual working size; there's a lot of beautiful detail in him you lose pulled way out. He's always been a difficult character for me to draw but I feel I'm finally starting to nail it.
