We are looking very respectfully at Lauren in Kieran’s glasses, calling him subordinate. Veeeeery respectful.
She trusts him and this handshake is so much more intimate than their previous affirmations of being partners. IT’S PRACTICALLY AN EMBRACE.
THE WAY LAUREN TAKES OFF HIS GLASSES? HELLO?? She is removing the mask of Kieran the archivist and looking at the real Kieran, including Purple Hyacinth Kieran, telling him she’s not afraid of him. This is everything and we are WEAK
Even though Kieran tries to tell Lauren she doesn’t know what the PS is capable of, Lauren doesn’t want to give up. She tries to convince him because they’re working with Tristan and Dakan, and reminds him of Kym and Will knowing as well. Everyone knows the risks.
Lauren reminds Kieran she was aware of the risks from the start and that they’re stronger together. She doesn’t want to stop.
Kieran knows it’s no use to keep lying so he straight up tells her it’s time to call their deal off but THANK GOD for the stubbornness of Lauren Sinclair, she’s not having any of this
Lauren is struggling but before she can say something Kieran decides they shouldn’t be working together, and it’s also a lie. He knows they’re a great team together but still tries to convince her to stop their partnership.
Thank god it’s only Kieran sneaking into the office! We already know he’s concerned about Lauren being in danger because of him and his comment about her reflexes being sluggish just further drives home his concern
Lauren looks VERY pleased with herself at being the daughter of apostles who is allying herself with an assassin, love that for her!
Interesting that we get flashbacks to March’s conversation with Lauren in episode 85. Is March also pretending to be someone he’s not? He has been quite suspicious lately
