The Puffstalk is a part of the Sporovid family. The only other Spoovid is (seemingly) the Puffstool from Pikmin 1. What makes this interesting is that Pikmin 1 never had a Piklopedia, and the name ‘Sporovid’ actually comes from the Prima Guide Book.

The Goolix, Waterwraith, and Quaggled Mireclops are the only bosses in the series to need a certain pikmin to defeat. The Goolix requires blue pikmin, WW requires purple pikmin, and QM requires rock pikmin.

Which Pikmin creature do you think would taste the best? I think these 4 would be pretty good, but what do you think?

The Anode Beetles are a part of the Scarab Beetle family, which is a real type of beetle with over 30,000 species. However this may just be a coincidence made by Olimar, as the scientific name for Scarabs is “Scarabaeidae” while for the Anodes it’s “Scarabum*”.

Shearwigs will regenerate their health when they fly, but if you can lure it to fly over water it’ll die very quickly.

I’ve always interpreted this as the Shearwig pushing itself to the point of death, since it can’t land or breath underwater.

There are actually three different species of Spectralids:

The Flitterbie Family of Unmarked Spectralids from Pikmin 1+2

The Flutterbie Family of Red, Yellow, and White Spectralids primarily from Pikmin 3

And the Floaterbie Family of Electric Spectralids from Hey!Pikmin

The first form of the Plasm Wraith shares several similarities to the Goolix.
Most obviously their both big liquid blobs, and they can’t directly harm pikmin(at least at first).
The biggest similarity is that the can have 2 “cores”; G’s pearl and “brain” and PW’s cube and Olimar.
