The Elder Gate and The Tower. I was surprised at how well these two went together!
Two treeish pieces. Trees have figured prominently in several of my recent pieces, including the one I'm working on currently.
Been thinking back to these two breakthrough pieces lately, produced shortly after grad school. After feeling repressed for two years, I finally allowed myself to cut loose. Dr. Strange has me thinking it might be time for some more cosmic horror inspired work!
Wildly different environs, color palettes, and shape languages! Which would you rather explore?
Is anyone else just really tired? Here are two paintings that make me feel peaceful. One is an ethereal forest gate. The other is the sun going to sleep.
The Else Lands: Enamel Pin Collection is 75% of the way to its funding goal! Follow the link below if you would like to back!
I don't think I've ever done this pairing before, though I'm losing track! Lots of differences between these pieces, but still clouds. Always clouds.
The Else Lands: Enamel Pin Collection is now live on the place that's green and starts with K! Link below.
The extremes between which my work can fluctuate: bright and serene and dark and tumultuous. Which do you prefer?
The Path Illumined and Tower of Dreams. One must travel either to the edge of the world or into the heavens themselves to reach them. Which would you attempt?
Two of my more green and tree-ish pieces, a combination I don't frequently explore. Waystone of Renascence (left) and Forest Sanctum (right).
The Azure Citadel
Two windows flanked the entrance like slitted, azure eyes. The glittering darkness of the cosmos seemed to lurk behind them like water held in an ornate glass. In the distance, infinitely far away, the mirage of a tower climbed above the desert.
