@Marcel_Hampel Here my art! https://t.co/MsaPVI1gmN
Figuring out colors for the next thing. At this point, I'm just smooshing things around until something clicks.
@stephanie_draws Blue art, also containing other colors as seasoning!
Newness and promise always mingle with the specter of uncertainty. A shining tower revealed from beneath a layer of crumbled stone spoke to a sense of hope and renewal, while the darkness and mystery of the entrances at its base spoke to the uncertainty into which we all journey.
I felt these two made an interesting pairing. Both contain stained glass-like elements and voluminous clouds, but they evoke opposing moods. The first image, The Star, was painted for the @color_tarot project's upcoming Chromatic Fates tarot deck! Take a moment and check it out!
Two of my pieces with a strong cosmic element to them, Tower of Dreams and Forge Fires of Eternity. What story do they tell you?
What metaphors do you use to conceptualize the world? Are there any you find yourself drawn to in media such as art, film, writing, etc.? I find I am drawn to metaphors that express longing and uncertainty. One such is that of a long and winding path path leading to a crossroads.
"The Path Illumined" and "The Faerie Grove." It's been fun going back through my work and finding complementary or contrasting pieces!
The Twilight Gate and The Waning Passage were imagined as companion pieces from the start. I wanted to contrast them both visually and conceptually: light against dark, solid against ephemeral, cosmic against terrestrial, among other dualities. What story do you imagine for them?
