The GENESIS bioscanner was initially only used in the beach part of BIO REV1, but turned out more fun & its use was expanded for exploration. It isn't in BIO5+ as it was repossessed as Pharmaceutical Industry Association property when the BSAA was reformed under the UN.

In an interview with Weekly The PlayStation Vol.110 (10/7/98), Hideki Kamiya says the poster in the locker with the sidepack is of "FIRE BOY", a popular cartoon character in the BIO world. He appears elsewhere in BIO2 & BIO3.

In the EN version of the VILLAGE file "Spencer's Letter", he tells Miranda that he hopes she revives her daughter, but in the JP version he instead says that he can't wait to show her the results of his own plan. He shows less interest in Miranda, except as inspiration.

In the JP version of the BIO VILLAGE file "Miranda's Note", she mentions that she created the Cadou parasite specifically from parasitic nematodes as a more efficient vector of Mold infection, likely by inserting the fungal genome into a nematode.
