She's in her happy place when she's fixing machines. She's in her grumpy place if she's dealing with people.
In her "everyday life" she's kinda a lonely, mopey, angry kid who isn't sure what she's doing or where she wants to be. She dislikes most people. She's got roughly one friend. She's just got a major chip on her shoulder, knowing full well she's not destined to be "normal."
In this world there are other "-mancers" like her. Like the Gravimancer and Geomancer. One idea is there's a whole traditional magical girl squad, but Julie is... kinda like early power rangers Green Ranger. As an outsider, she sometimes seems like an antagonist from their view.
The response to that sketch page of "Pretty Julie Technomancer" was very positive for a non fanart comic page on twitter. Thought I'd explain her a bit more for my newer followers. It's a comic concept I've had on the back burner for years, about a grumpy overpowered magical girl
I have a suspicion there's going to be a bunch of cute Mothra drawings in the next couple of weeks. Might as well start sketchin.
Death Stranding has me thinking about this old comic again.
