The bug-in-the-box is a dark joke of a construct and an eight-legged-twist on the jack-in-the-box toy. Instead of a clown-painted jester popping out on a spring when the box’s crank is turned, the box instead rearranges its insides and transforms entirely into a wooden spider.

Yellowcaps are small, humanoid fey creatures with hair of bright yellow flame. These gleeful firebrands have the ability to move freely between one plane or dimension to another without the use of vortices or portals, typically traveling in groups of two to four.

A lanternhead is a lanky construct of iron and wood approximately ten feet in height, with a large lantern lit with a single candle for a head. These dark sentries are bound to protect an environment, plot of land, building, or other property.

Bluebeards are ten-foot-tall fey with humanoid features and long blue beards that often grow down to their waists, from which they take their name. Bluebeards are vile, brutish creatures that will relentlessly harass and pursue people before snatching them up and eating them.

Effigrims are dolls, puppets, or similar toys that are committed to evil and have been granted sentience by unholy forces, such as dark wizards, black pacts, or malevolent gods.

Mirrorwraiths are spirits bound to mirrors or other reflective surfaces, as their name implies. These undead assume the appearance of whoever gazes upon them, contorting their features into visages of death, decay, and monstrosity.

In their true forms, godmother hags resemble withering fairy godmothers with bloodstained dresses, broken crowns, rotting flesh, and long fangs. Godmother hags don’t make deals; they grant wishes.

Harrow hares appear to unwitting travellers as cute, fluffy bunny rabbits that conceal great horror lying in wait. The monstrosity creates a kill-zone by secreting a powerful hallucinogenic toxin from its tongue that drips onto the ground and lingers within the environment.

Their faces are twisted into cruel snarls that slowly ooze their hot candy coating. Supposedly, sweetie tots were once normal children that were transformed by beings such as hags as punishment for gluttony, impatience, or general misbehaviour.

Pinfingers appear vaguely humanoid, their spindly, scabbed, and monstrous forms concealed by large, drooping hats and oversized suits or similar finery. The creatures delight in confusing and unnerving their prey before they eat them.
