Mermay, day 28: humpback anglerfish. A collector of artifacts claimed by the seas; has no problem with giving them to land-dwellers as long as they aren't mean to her.
Mermay, day 23: common plecostomus catfish. Armored catfish are neat. Simpler one tone flat shading today because I spent all morning being very ill (I'm a bit better now).
Bonus: giant squid mermaid without any effects. You can see that she required both darker and more contrasting shading than I usually use, as well as two arms that were never fully drawn because they were meant to fade into the gloom anyway.
