TL;DR: The movie retelling is amazing, and certainly worth watching, but wayyy later. If you watching Gintama for the first time or know someone who is, it's more recommendable to watch the anime version for a better and much safer experience.

Lots of talk about animation, and manga adaption on the TL.

Anyway I'm still grateful for Sunrise/BNP's work on Gintama over the years, but especially the 2015 season.

It's already been 10 years ever since the official english version of the Gintama manga got suspended, and the ones available are getting sold out everywhere.
