Its kind of interesting when you think about it, how this Gamillas general meets the same fate as General Muoro from Castle in the Sky. While the others don't, I wonder if Miyazaki was inspired by this episode of Yamato at all.

IMO, he also borrows heavily from say General Revil as well.

A quick scan for @c2_comics of Hades from The Art of Arion (THMS, 1986) as he has shared some expressed interest in his design. This is always a no brainer for me to dig into my library for images; enjoy! This was a part of his prototype image set that was sent to Sunrise.
