It’s hard to determine the intended spelling of her name, as it’s written as both レイコック and レイ・コック. Toei has used the spellings “Ray Cock”, “Reikoku”, “Lacock”, and “Ray Cook”. “Lacock” seems the most appropriate.

At the end of the episode Lacock has her dress on again even though Alron was killed. However, in the next episode, she has a different gown. (She shouldn’t have her earrings and necklace though).

In episode 34, her most precious minion, Alron, faces off against Devilman. Alron is Lacock's dress, and it's implied they have a romantic relationship. Her death pushes Lacock to battle Devilman.

I also want to talk about one of Devilman’s greatest foes, Demon Marshall Lacock. Her name comes from 冷酷 (reikkoku), meaning “cruel”. I think her name could also be a pun on 例刻, meaning regular time. In her last episode, she slows down time.

It does work as a nice send-off for the minor characters. Hairo finally breaks away from his studies to be with Chaco. Hairo surprisingly has decent character development.

38 is a good episode, but doesn’t have quite the impact as 39, IMO. The episode basically deals with Devilman trying to locate Dremoon and humanity panicking as they believe the world is ending. The last batch of episodes have an apocalyptic theme.

For the last batch of episodes, Masaki Tsuji and Go Nagai created villains who were much more threatening. You had Magdler, who was powered by the earth’s core. Wooddow, who could control plant life. And finally, Dremoon who has the power to control gravity.

How many dubs over the years handled all the nudity in the last episode of Sailor Moon.
