Slowly I began to feel more comfortable with picking up a pen and sketching - it was the start of a journey, the start of living despite having an ‘interesting’ brain chemistry and learning to manage OCD.

there was very little resilience, no self belief, and I felt shattered by both occasions and deep inside wanted to run and hide and didn’t want to face people - yet these pictures were early building blocks in my recovery.

These were two drawings done every early on into the start of recovery in my mental health breakdown - both started as live works on site - I was so nervous, I could barely concentrate and was so scared as to what people might think. My confidence had been shot to pieces,
