Today I got to play in my brother's D&D game. I'm running a 4th level elven rogue scout with a 20 dexterity & sharpshooter. That combination is formidable.

Anyway, his name is Lantos, & he's my favorite character to play in a while.

I read a tweet about TTRPG characters who retreated upstairs & set fire to the stairs.

Dear reader: I’ve had D&D players do this.

Twice.

Dear players: As your DM, I am your characters’ biggest cheerleader, but actions have consequences.

Nasty D&D trap idea:

The characters climb down a shaft on a ladder. One of the rungs simultaneously drops a gelatinous cube down the shaft and opens a spiked pit trap beneath them.

I was disappointed to learn The Neverending Story only has a run time of 1 hour and 43 minutes. Neverending? It’s not even a long movie!

With that written, I still recommend it. Super good.

The thought of including a minotaur bully antagonist named Berf Jeeky in my D&D games amuses me way more than it should.
