For the letter Y in the #ParrotAtoZ here is the Yellow-faced Parrotlet which is found in the dry woodlands, thickets and scrub of the Marañón Valley in north-western Peru.

The orange-checked parrot is found in humid lowland forest in the Amazonian Andes. The Latin name 'barrabandi' commemorates Jacques Barraband a French zoological painter from the 1800s renowned for his life-like pictures of tropical birds #ParrotAtoZ 🦜
