Subsequently, these are a couple of my favourite pieces from the year because I began to get more comfortable with picking colours and combining them with other elements I've always really loved and missed doing, like fine detail and inkwork.

These two pieces are where all the research I started doing made things click for me - a combination of stuff I picked up from skillshare courses on the free trial and studying a lot of other people's work, mostly in the realm of design and fashion rather than illustration...

Exploring a new character, a thanatologist, undertaker, apothecary. That sort of business. Thinking about natural materials and manufactured tools. Maybe she has come to the fore because of a need to explore my own feelings about death.
