Mermaid folklore is something that fascinates me. But the image of 'the mermaid' as described in European fairytales, classical art and Disney seems pretty 'by the book': Half human, half fish, split just beneath the belly button.

I am not Heterophobic but I just think all adverts shown on literally every TV channel for the past 80 years are totally unnecessary. Showing a man and woman passionately endorsing a product will only confuse children at such a young age. Why?? https://t.co/ka5IeIxBjZ
