If Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform killed the Jackal Squad, he should've killed Infinite (the Ultimate Mercenary) when he had a chance. But instead, Shadow spared his life and made him suffer for no reason.

What happens when Sonic the Hedgehog and friends see the Jackal Squad (presumed to be dead) fighting against Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform (not Sonic) for some reason?
If the Jackal Squad return, they will avenge Infinite's death (after the events of Sonic Forces)
Alternate timeline - Infinite went back in time into the past to stop Rouge the Bat to awake Shadow and E-123 Omega from happening. So he can save his family (the Jackal Squad) for good. (Meaning Team Dark and Shadow's actions will never exist)
Main timeline - Rouge the Bat found and awaken both Shadow and E-123 Omega to create Team Dark to fight Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends (mostly Knuckles) or anyone else to get in her way so she can get what she wants. (between Sonic Heroes - present)
I wish Infinite can become a time traveler to go back in time to stop Rouge the Bat to awake both Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform and E-123 Omega from happening. So he can save his Jackal Squad for good.
Hint: Between the events of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Sonic Heroes.
