I think I'm most proud of the primrose in terms of how the fairy fits around the flower, it's a shame those novelty pencils don't scan very well.

The little sketchbook is a pig to scan so I might start photographing them instead. Stay tuned!

No. 27 is a lionfish, because I saw some news about how their range is expanding and suddenly remembered I LOVED lionfish when I was little. (This is the novelty pencils again, btw.)

Catch-up mermaids continue with no. 25 : Return of the Coralmaid. She carries a small ecosystem wherever she goes, I imagine she makes a creaking sound a little like an iceberg.

Day 20 is a merman! One of the prompt lists had 'merman' for today, so I turned one of my male characters into a merm.

I wasn't sure about the spot colour, so I scanned it before colouring too.

In honour of Detective Pikachu causing me to fall behind, here's a pokemon mermaid for day 17! She's a Milotic, I never had one in the games but I really like the weird stained-glass-window tail.

Day 14! I don't normally do the same thing two days in a row, but I asked @sammyborras what I should draw and she said 'Gumball' to match Darwin yesterday, so here we are!

Day 5 is a river-dwelling merboy, he's a playful little guy. He and the sealmaid would probably get along if they lived in the same type of water. Coloured with two random watercolour pencil stubs in a fit of enthusiasm for challenging myself.

I was watching ancient Egypt conspiracy videos, so here's an ancient Egyptian mermaid for day 4! It's easy to find people to drown when you live in the only river for miles. I think she steals her clothes, jewellery and wig from her victims.

Day 2 is a cute little sealmaid! I challenged myself to colour this with a set of 6 novelty mini pencils (the kind you'd get in a party bag).
